It's no secret that I'm a big Innervisions fan. So seeing Ame/Dixon on the bill doing an extended set, is always a special treat, for me at least. It's also a nice thing to see two important promotors team up for a bash like this, and what better day to do it then the birth of this freaking nation! So hats off to Resolute and Blkmarket for pulling this one off.

On this day, the boys from Germany played a magnificent 5-hour back2back set. The music was diverse, deep, melodic, and emotional. The perfect selection tunes for this hot holiday shindig. Once the sun started to set, the Germans played more euphoric tracks that like their latest Innervisions single, Lost in a Moment - an Arabic-like tune that glitters and shines with strings over a bed of deep basslines. Their set and tracks were timely curated during the afternoon heat, to the sunset purple skies, to the fireworks at night. All this with the New York City skyline as the backdrop and an up-for-it crowd.
